    In my doctoral thesis, I performed 0D and 1D numerical simulations to understand the combustion and emission characteristics of syngas/natural gas fuel mixture with exhaust gas recirculation. In addition, I investigated the effects of carbon monoxide addition on methane flames using direct simulations. Currently, I am developing a numerical model that can predict the combustion characteristics of non-adiabatic non-premixed methane flames.

In addition, I also performed surveys to identify the issues faced by our peers that are common across the faculty. In these meetings, I helped the committee members and board members to understand the general management issues that are identified by our research rep team.

    I performed data analysis using climate data and energy consumption data of Dutch households to identify the possibilities for introducing micro-CHP instead of CV-ketels for house heating applications. Using the results of the data analysis, I determined operational cost, investment cost and break-even time associated with the introduction of mCHP in Dutch households.
