Über mich
I am a Ph.D. student at the Faculty of Informatics of Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), Lugano, Switzerland. My research interests lie on ubiquitous and affective computing. In particular, I am interested in applying machine learning, deep learning methods and signal processing techniques to automatically recognize human behavior from data collected from sensors available in devices we use in our daily lives (e.g., smartphones, smartwatches and sensory earbuds). In the context of my Ph.D. thesis, I focus on design and development of robust mobile sensing systems, which are able to accurately detect people's behavior in real-world settings and act accordingly to support their work performance and well-being.

Research activities: analyzed physiological, movement, rotation, smartphone data applying machine learning, deep learning, signal processing, and statistical analysis. Designed and developed data collection tools and conducted user studies in real-world and laboratory settings. Teaching Assistant: designed and delivered tutorials and assignments on data analytics with Python, Elasticsearch, SQL, Spark, Neo4J, MongoDB, and Android programming. Monitored students for their projects and theses.
