The thesis work provides an overview of techniques typically used to address three steps of an Automated Machine Learning pipeline: Feature Engineering, Feature Selection and Hyperparameter Tuning. The pipeline is introduced as AutoTune: a framework to address these steps, all at once for supervised learning problems conducted over structured data. The pipeline works on an ensemble approach implementing multiple Machine Learning algorithms and also provide local interpretability to the models by AutoTune

Working on a task that is part of a project called STAMP which is funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The goal of the STAMP project is to evaluate and improve static analysis tools for a set of programming languages. It was focused on enhancing a system called the Bug Injector, which is based on a library called the Software Evolution Library developed by Grammatech. It is used to inject defects into source code. The buggy code can be used to evaluate testing tools, static analysis tools etc
