Responsible for the operational business in the Asia/Pacific Region (APR), including Marketing&Sales, Production, R&D, Management of JVs: Re-organization of Marketing and Sales in APR, including the regional organizations in Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, India, Australia, New Zealand, JVs in Japan and South-East-Asia • Establishing a Technical Center for polymer processing in Shanghai • Establishing of a production of polyamides and compounds in Shanghai

Responsible for acquisitions in China and India: Due diligence and negotiation on acquisitions in India and on a JV in China • Negotiation on a research cooperation and JV in China • Development of a business plan, evaluation of the profitability of a potential investment, communication to the Board, preparation of the application to the Board for final approval of the investment
