Hi there! My name is Abdul-Vakhab. I am 31 years old. Currently I am a postdoctoral researcher in the field of condensed matter physics. I am investigating magnetic topological insulators (MTI) by means of x-ray spectroscopy, such as x-ray absorption (XAS), x-ray magnetic circular and linear dichroism (XMCD/XMLD) and resonant x-ray scattering (RXR). I also simulate spectroscopic data within the crystal-field theory (CFT), multiplet ligand-field theory (MLFT), and density functional theory (DFT), to understand the electronic and the magnetic properties of various MTI, such as 3d transition-metal doped (BiSb)2Te3, rare-earth doped Bi2Te3, and recently predicted and observed intrinsic magnetic topological insulators from the MnBi2Te4 family.
