Dr. Antoni Sanchez-Ferrer

Antoni Sánchez-Ferrer received his B.Sc., M.Sc., M.A.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona. After some years in the industry, a doctorate at the University of Freiburg/Barcelona, two postdoctoral positions at the University of Strasbourg and at the University of Fribourg, and nine years as a scientist and lecturer at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, he is a senior scientist and lecturer at the Technical University of Munich and the Head of the Wood Materials Science Group. His research interest includes liquid-crystalline systems, polymers, networks, gels and colloids, with experience in Materials Science, Soft Matter, Macromolecular Chemistry & Physics, Supramolecular Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and X-Ray Scattering over more than 20 years of research experience in Spain, Germany, France, and Switzerland.
