Contributed to Diversey’s successes pre and during Covid-19 pandemic that eventually resulted in an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and listing on Nasdaq (2021). Managed newly setup global organization (~40 people) through shortages and high inflation (managed spend ~$1 bil.), while securing materials, bringing further saving, improving OWC and implementing the innovation and sustainability agenda in collaboration with Supply Chian, Marketing and R&D.

Allnex, the coating resins company, is the global leader in industrial coating resins. - Led integration of new European procurement team (Allnex & Nuplex), with responsibility on direct (raw materials and packaging), transport and indirect spend, ~€900 mil. expenditure, both opex and capex, 25 people, 12 manufacture sites. - Championed and secured realization of integration synergies (in excess of €30 mil globally) of new company (excess of €2 bil. revenue, global matrix environment, 4 Business Units).

Nuplex Resins was a global company active in (industrial) coating resins. Nuplex was acquired by Allnex and its Private Equity owner Advent International in H2 2016, to create the leading industrial coating resins company. - Prioritized and developed procurement strategies to realize group global business strategy (>€1 bil. revenue, global environment), leading 5 regional teams and 3 global category managers. - Led Nuplex’s procurement stream during pre-merger and first phase of integration with Allnex.

Contributed to realization of business strategy of BU Functional Chemicals (> €2 bil. revenue, global matrix environment, multiple businesses and P&L’s), by leading an international team of 30 commodity and category managers. Responsible for all direct, indirect and capital expenditure within the region, with an annual operating budget in excess of €700 mil (16 operating sites). Global direct responsibility on key categories and suppliers.

Member of the Business Unit Management Team of the BU Northern & Eastern Europe, with responsibility on Operating Working Capital improvement. Led the countries’ teams and functions (> 30 individuals, organised in country teams) in reduction of sales credits, overdue and risk (order to cash process); improvement of inventory (planning & forecasting; inventory strategy; production and distribution network; service levels; complexity) and increase of suppliers’ terms. Achieved 40% reduction in 2 years

Managed the sourcing of resins (specialty, €100+ mil, highly volatile market) and pigments (titanium dioxide, commodity, €200+ mil spend, 100+ buying sites) in Europe, reporting to the BU Purchasing Director – cross BU responsibility.

Led the 3 local Nordic Marketing depts. (ca. 15 individuals) towards uniform development of the brand Nordsjö – market leader in Scandinavia (ca. €100 mil sales; B2B and B2C). Reported to Global Marketing & Business Development Manager. Performed additional roles, such as Account Management and Business Development.

Broad international experience in general management; strategy; business turnaround and performance improvement. Among the main clients: AkzoNobel; DuPont; Eli Lilly; Corus (Tata Steel); Eneco (energy); Nuon (Vattenfall); KPN (telecom); Maes Bier (Heineken); TNT (transport). Involvement along the whole professional services chain: prospects identification; sales; delivery. Progressing from Consultant to Senior Manager with delivery roles either as program/project manager or as Subject Matter Expert.

Focus on performance improvement in different functional areas and industries, with experiences in industry and market analysis; process redesign, sourcing, Balanced Scorecard. Based in Italy, mid 1998 joined KPMG Europe’s excellence center for Business Process Reengineering (BPR) in NL.
