Promoting MedAustron Particle Therapy System as the technical solution for synchrotron based cancer treatment facilities throughout the world. Aiming at establishing MedAustron as the key provider of certified Ion Therapy Systems.

• Project Lead of Accelerator: overseeing the construction and build-up phase in all aspects of the MedAustron accelerator project aiming to deliver the accelerator to be certified and fully usable as medical device • Leading an international and multidisciplinary expert team of 40 people • Managing a budget of 80 million Euros in 7 years • Hiring of several key players into the team

• Fully accountable for project timeline and liaison with other work groups - Project scope across 2 sites – Geneva and Wiener Neustadt • Responsible for tendering, negotiations and contract setup and follow-up with external partners on up to one Million euro contracts. • Single point of contact for contracting companies, ~15 contracts in 3 years • Responsibility of budget (5 million Euro) and product development

Responsible for design and technical implementation of beam monitors of MedAustron, recruiting and building up of an interdisciplinary, international beam diagnostics team (6 people). Ownership of training, job designs and team structure.

NA62-Experiment at CERN, Geneva: Rare Kaon decays, Gigatracker system, detector design and read-out chip analysis. Independent analysis and choice of silicon detectors
