Test Automation Solutions for End-to-End and Acceptance Testing

5-Month contract assignment. Lead Acceptance test automation architect, implementing multi-interface (Android, SOAP, WebGUI, SSH) end-to-end test automation for an IN network element. A senior architect responsible for the design of E-Plus and Telefonica O2 Unified Subscriber Database (UDB) system merger in the pre-sales phase. Main assignments: requirements analysis, high-level design (sizing, redundancy & load-balancing, IT-system & Mobile Network integration), acceptance test automation design.

A lead system/solution architect responsible for (SDM) Subscriber Data Management solutions development and delivery for Telefonica O2 Germany. Key architect role throughout a complete solution life-cycle. Acceptance test design and automation, troubleshooting and maintenance facilitation. System design incl. deployment topology, redundancy & load-balancing, IT-system & Mobile Network integration, dimensioning & performance optimization. Technical lead for a team of 10-25 engineers.

A senior architect in the enterprise application integration (EAI) consulting team. Lead architect in complex integration projects for various Mobile Operators (e.g. O2 Germany, Vodafone Greece, Portugal, Spain & Italy). The projects tasks included e.g. requirements gathering and scoping, solution design, implementation, roll-out and project planning for various services (e.g. messaging services) and IT system (OSS/BSS) integration. Lead architect in a virtual development team (located in CR, NL & IR).

A co-head of an J2EE architecture team responsible for creating a flexible, high-performance, redundant and scalable Java server application for a Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) Value Added Service Provider (VASP) application. The work included agile requirement management process (RUP/XP), executing a system analysis and composing requirements specifications.

Responsible for mobile-commerce/payment product architecture in venture capital funded start-up. Software architecting for high performance and high availability (e.g. J2EE, clustering and load balancing) in a distributed networked environment.

Responsible for technical sales in EMEA as a technical product expert. Conducting customer technical workshops, key role in delivering customer & market feedback to product management and R&D. Occasionally also involved in software architecture and requirement analysis tasks.

Leading a small development team utilizing Java technologies (e.g. RMI Object distribution, Java and WAP) for reimplementing the old product family (implemented in SQLWindows). OOA & OOD utilizing UML & RUP and Java Web-development (Servlets).

3-Month Internship. Studying international projects in the developing countries, also studying ITU structure with app. one-week visits to the other departments: Telecommunication standardisation (ITU-T) and Radio Communication (ITU-R).

6-Month Internship Object-oriented analysis and design (OMT & UML) and SW development using Smalltalk.

Various developer assignments as a summer trainee / freelancer during university studies, ~12 Months of work experience total Assignmets included: - Object-oriented development with C and C++ on Windows and Unix platforms. - Member of a project-team implementing SS7, GSM and ATM protocol stacks and modelling IN service logic using OO methodologies (e.g. design patterns) with CORBA and C++. - Developing Windows applications with MapInfo and C++. - HTML authoring and training.
