Dr. Lisa Würner

As a postdoctoral researcher I perform, analyse and interpret biomedical and molecular biological studies dealing with intestinal mucus formation and degradation as well as the influence of biological agents on mucus properties. Furthermore, I investigate the involvement of inflammatory mediators in the development of inflammatory bowel diseases.

As a PhD-student I investigate the effect of the inflammatory mediator bradykinin on the intestine, especially in regard to the enteric nervous system and the intestinal muscle layer, using electrophysiological, histological and molecular biological methods.
