There a lot of things done everyday that we take for granted, things we’ve come to consider normative. So, if someone suggests something different, we just shut down the idea, just because, ‘That’s not how it’s done here’. I disagree. I believe that as entrepreneurs, we shouldn’t just give the people what they want, but also to give them what they need. I have drawn to solve a problem that I had detected in my local Bangladesh communities. Hence I left Alibaba in 2018 started my own start-up, known as ‘Jobike’. Jobike seeks to solve the challenge of short-distance transportation in Bangladesh. The country is plagued with high levels of carbon emissions that have everyone concerned. Rather than think of how to reduce cars on the road, at Jobike, we’re providing an alternative means of transportation that is eco-friendly, cheap, accessible to all, and a healthy option. You cannot solve a problem with the same level of thinking that led to it. I live for solutions, and this is my story.
