Sentia is one of the leading companies for business-critical Managed Cloud Services in North-Western Europe. Sentia was private-equity owned until it was acquired in September 2022 by Accenture. As Group CFO, I spearheaded several projects: post-acquisition integration (15+ acquisitions), reshaping the Finance organization, implementing a new SaaS-based ERP Platform, and driving profitable growth through data-driven insights. In 2022 we completed a successful exit process to new ownership, Accenture.

Afriflora (www.afriflora.nl/en/) is a leading large-scale rose grower and distributor, founded and run by the Barnhoorn family. In 2014, KKR took a majority stake in the company. As CFO I oversaw a significant part of the buy-out transaction that transferred majority ownership from KKR to SUN CAPITAL. This included Vendor Due Diligence, Valuation, SPA completion, and post-closing refinancing. In my role, I also liaised with key stakeholders on ESG/CSR matters and acted as head of external relations

Group CFO for the Afriflora and Flamingo Horticulture businesses. The group has a combined turnover of more than £500m per annum.

CANNONDALE SPORTS is a division of Dorel Industries (TSX: DII.B, DII.A) managing a portfolio of premium sports brands, amongst others: CANNONDALE, GT and SUGOI. In this role I am end-responsible for financial management and business support in the EMEA Region; member of the MT and heading a group of 19 people. My brief is to ensure that this fast-growing business unlocks new value-adding business lines as well as becomes scaleable for future growth.

Reporting to the Global Controller of Heineken N.V. and business partner to the Executive Board (CEO and CFO). Responsible for the strategic action plan cycle, business performance reporting and review as well as forecasting. member of the Global Control and Accounting MT and heading a small team of 5 seasoned business analysts.

Responsible for Finance & IT. Part of the new management team that restructured the company and made a successful turnaround. Implemented SAP, increased Finance productivity with more than 200%, refinanced debt, managed an acquisition and made Finance & IT an integral part of the business.

TWISTER is a Shell Technology Ventures start-up for revolutionary new gas processing technology. Founded by Shell, JP Morgan and 3i Group. (www.twisterbv.com). As CFO I was involved from incubation till launch of the company. This involved pitching Business Plans; setting-up (from scratch) the whole support function: Accounting, HR and Procurement and attracting new sources of Finance.

Finance DIrector of the former Bredase Polystyrene Company which was divested from Shell Chemicals. As last Finance Director from Shell I supervised the carve-out and did the initial integration of Finance and IT systems for the new owners.

Economist for base chemicals doing advanced DCF and option theory analysis for investment projects. Set transfer prices between business units and prepared information memoranda for large asset divestments.

Introduced new point-of-sales MIS for Shell Retail Business including enhanced retail performance reporting.
