Nora Isabel Hoeltzenbein

I help with research for the CarboLifeCycle project in wich the characterisitics, fate and release of materials containing carbon nanotubes (CNT) in the environment is studied. My work includes planing and execution of laboratory work with test organisms as well as data organisation.

I assisted teaching a course on the taxonomy of animals for bachelor students during one semester, as well as organised a four week course on the ecology of terrestric systems, where work included coordination of students, materials and research plots.

I assisted a course on the anatomy of animals for bachelor students, during which I taught the basic anatomy and dissection of animals to small groups.

I was responsible for literature research on the effects of Nonylphenol on Daphnids.

I helped with studies on effects of pesticides on ecosystems and learned to work under Good Laboratory Praxis (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

My specializations are ecology & ecotoxicology, plant-physiology, soil ecology and political science. The title of my Diploma thesis is "Model-based effect balancing of different forest management strategies on ecosystem services and socio-economic aspects".
