Richard Etter

Klenico is a healthtech startup from Zürich. Klenico supports employees, patients and healthcare professionals to diagnose mental health disorders and to identify the best treatment. Within 2.5 years Richard and his team have launched a CE-marked SAAS solution, enabled a reimbursement business model and launched offerings for providers and corporates. Within this period Klenico has acquired the first 90 B2B clients in Switzerland/Germany/Austria and the team quadrupled.

Richard is responsible to define the digital business model of Sanitas. He leads the digital transformation program with accountability to the board of directors and the management board. Richard has built up and leads 5 product teams with 40 FTE. He is responsible to deliver the digital strategy with a strong focus on early validation with clients and agile methodology.

Richard co-founded the digital health company Aware Plus. In his role as CEO he leads the areas product, partnerships, communication and strategy. Richard and his team have built up the digital second opinion platform meinezweitmeinung.ch. It offers patients an independent second opinion from leading doctors. Through partnerships with health insurers the platform covers over 2 million patients in Switzerland and abroad. Several medical associations including a patient organisation are strategic partners.

As a manager at Accenture Richard advised companies in the financial services area on building and launching digital solutions for 7 years. Richard has successfully lead several transformation programs with up to 35 FTE across 3 countries. He has managed portfolios of up to 7 projects and built up and trained various cross-functional teams.

Richard worked in the area Internet of Things and built up the area wearables at Fraunhofer. He invented and built a series of 5 wearables that were featured globally. In addition Richard published 6 peer-reviewed papers in ACM journals.

Richard invented and built a GPS-based mobile navigation system that guides pedestrians with their personal music. It intuitively guides pedestrians by rendering their music in 3D and realtime. In addition Richard was a mobile developer for the Mobile Knowledge Group.
