There are only a few parts left of the fortress of Ingolstadt. Using SketchUp, we rebuilt one section of it based on old plans we got from the Bayrisches Armeemuseum (Bavarian Military History Museum). The models were processed in Unity so that one can take a virtual reality (VR) tour with an Oculus Rift through the old city walls of Ingolstadt. There is also a VR app available for android devices which can be used with Google Cardboard. Another company used our models to create an augmented reality app.
