The US$ 4 bn Avantha Group is one of India's leading business conglomerates. The group operates in more than 10 countries with 20,000 employees of 20 nationalities. Sumit was a part of corporate strategy team, working with President - Group Strategy & Business Planning. Sumit led projects in the field of microfinance, water treatment, electrical products and chemicals (incl. a $ 20 mn acquisition in US healthcare segment).

$ 13 Bn Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) is a Technology, Engineering, Construction and Manufacturing company. Sumit, on behalf of the strategy team, led the acquisition of $ 110 Mn Tamco switchgears. The company had operations in China, Australia, Middle East, Malaysia and Indonesia. He led the finance team and was later appointed the Project Manager in the post-merger integration (PMI) stage.

Sumit worked in the Corporate Advisory division. He successfully executed two M&A transactions in Leather and Chemical Industries in India.
