Tatiana Saraeva

Establishing and developing strategic partnerships with professionals working in science communication field (web-platforms, professional networks, communicators, museums, laboratories, academia). Management of the rotating Twitter account, I Am SciComm – @iamscicomm, a space for students, postdocs, and faculty to interact and network in the context of science communication, and to connect students with relevant resources and opportunities.

I worked on design and development of the training "Media Communications in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)" for communication and DRR professionals. I also provided assistance in the organization of the UNDP-Central European University annual summer course “Innovations in Disaster Risk Reduction” (July 11-15, 2016, Budapest, Hungary) in partnership with UNDP Country Offices, World Meteorological Organization, Motorola, and CIRDA (Climate Information for Resilient Development in Africa).

Initially, I was appointed as an Advisor and then progressed into becoming Deputy Head of Urban Development Unit. I coordinated local areas development programs, interactions of officials with the local community, and implementation of grant programs for local initiatives and projects. Additionally, I worked on indicators of poor urban conditions and trends, as well as the role of municipal authorities, local communities, NGOs and business to improve peripheral areas of Moscow.

Managed special and cultural initiatives (theme exhibitions, workshops, seminars, conferences, TV-bridges, contests); Presented foreign authors on the Russian fiction market and managed their rights; Developed international cultural projects focused on children, local communities, national minorities (Russia, the USA, European Countries, the CIS countries, China); Government affairs; Managed foreign rights.

Managed all operative tasks in the day-to-day business; Coordinated functions (design, sales, marketing, licensing, print); Realized independent and autonomous special projects (Corporate Relations Management); Managed foreign rights and licensing.

I worked as the Head of Social Work Unit by Moscow Refugee Reception Center managed by Magee, an implementing partner of UNHCR in Russia. I led coordination of social and medical assistance to refugees and asylum-seekers provided in Moscow and Moscow region, a new Life Insurance Program for beneficiaries, as well as participated in humanitarian missions and provided aid and shelter for those in need.

Managed Foreign Rights and Licensing; Cooperated with IDMI Verlag GmbH, Vienna, an Austrian office of Mescheryakov Publishing House; Managed special events.

Provided assistance to socially vulnerable groups (elderly, refugees, asylum-seekers, children and adults with physical and mental disabilities) living in Moscow; Managed UWR-Public Interest Law Institute-Clifford Chance pro-bono initiative: monthly seminars series for Russian NGO representatives; Organized special events (educational seminars, charity markets, auctions, etc.); Managed the UWR's public website.
