Besides being the Swiss CFO, my role was to lead financial operations across various European countries (Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy & Hungary), overseeing all finance-related matters including financial & management reporting, strategic planning and budgetary control, cash flow management, tax & legal compliance as well as all commercial finance guidance.

Role as country CFO was to manage all financial & accounting functions, with indirect control over payroll, non-travel procurement and legal matters. Responsibilities included analysis & reporting of monthly results, budgeting and forecasting process but also improving commercial finance & cash-flow management. Drove continuous efforts in tightening governance and controls’ framework.

Initiated, managed and secured proposals of M&A build-up transactions or portfolio divestitures to private equity or TMT firms (Telecom, Media, IT practise) • Performed various coaching and business plans’ critical reviews for numerous start-up companies • Actively involved in a cross-border selling acquisition mandate for an IT infrastructure company (strategic analysis, target screening, valuation, due diligence, closing)

Led commercial finance activities for 2 local telecom operators, with the preparation & negotiation of large commercial tenders (mobile infrastructure) including multi-million $ financing proposals • Appointed in parallel CFO of ATNS (a Siemens majority Joint-Venture specialized in telecom project management) to drive the JV restructuring and minimize various contractual & financial risks

Role was to create, organize and manage the accounting & finance department of the JV manufacturing site (incl. payroll and purchasing) • Monitored JV business plan & import of various equipment (trade finance), as well as negotiated U$ 6m financing lines in liaison with Siemens Corporate Finance HQ • Successfully drove the whole financial & admin set-up of the JV, with an up-and-running factory established within less than 15 months
