SAN Storage and Backup Engineering and Administrator

Description: At VISA I was responsible to support day to day Storage and Backup Engineering and BAU tasks for VISA global clients. I also worked as Storage and Backup Operations lead in VISA. I have implement end-to-end SAN and storage infrastructure including HUR over FCIP replication setup for VISA new datacenter in Singapore.

Description: Worked as a Senior System Administrator and supporting bank’s Hong Kong based client HTSA in HSBC. It is a multi-petabyte environment running on Hitachi and EMC storage arrays. I am in a four member team supporting day to day storage operations, trouble shooting, mirroring and maintenance activities from off-shore location ( India ).

Description: I worked as Infrastructure Analyst on Xerox US based project and involved in a three member off-shore team for storage & Backup operations. Responsibilities: • Supported L2 Level SAN Storage (Hitachi) and Backup operations tasks (L3). • Performed storage provisioning and zoning tasks to support day to day BAU activities. • Performed NetBackup installation & Tape drive configurations. • Monitoring health check status for all Storage and Backup devices

Description: NTL (Northern Telecom Ltd.) is an UK based IBM customer running NetBackup to backup all its application and database servers using two Master servers and 16 Media servers and Hitachi 9960. The NTL environment has entire breadth of technologies including Solaris, Windows, AIX, Tru64, Oracle, MSSQL, LAN and SAN backup mechanisms. I was in a three-member team supporting complete NTL NetBackup environment 24 X 7 and providing on-call support on weekends and public holidays (on rotation basis).
