I am the Chief Architect for the IBM SmartCloud Archive offering. ( http://www-935.ibm.com/services/us/en/it-services/smartcloud-archive.html and http://www-03.ibm.com/press/us/en/pressrelease/34846.wss ). My primary focus and responsibility is technical leadership and design of the SmartCloud Archive offering. I lead the Development Team and coordination with other IBM teams and provide Executive Level sales support to customers and the IBM Executive Team.

My primary focus and responsibility is technical leadership during the design, implementation and support of complex and first of their kind enterprise content management compliance solutions. I lead technical sales, provide hands-on complex implementation leadership and mentor colleagues and customers worldwide.

I was the lead Enterprise Content Management integration architect during the development of the IBM Information Archive appliance. I was responsible for the integration of ECM technologies in the Tivoli and Lotus appliance and led a team of integration experts in Germany and the USA. My tasks included the design of High Availability and Disaster Recovery, production and factoring of the appliance, monitoring and operational autonomics. The appliance was announced in 2009.

In my role as the Chief Architect for the largest email compliance archive ever (currently 1.6 billion emails) at a private company in the US I was involved from the very first proof of concept and sales negotiations, continued through the production initiation and I remain active during the health checks which the services team conducts on a frequent basis. This first of a kind, large scale and complex implementation is a reference architecture for similar implementations worldwide today.
