Currently assigned to the Renault HHN project (New Kadjar), I'm responsible for all the quality matters of body in white parts, until their validation by the customer, and the start of mass production. We're industrializing Renault's design. This includes for example dimensional compatibility studies, FMEA studies, tooling supplier PPAP validation and risk analysis and management. I work closely with the project manager to meet the customer requirements on time, cost and quality.

-My main mission was to handle all quality concerns, during product development (APQP, FMEA/AMDEC, PPAP, project quality, audits, etc) and mass production (8D, fault tree analysis, audits, etc), of bearings for car manufacturers, like the Renault Nissan Mitsubishi alliance, Toyota and Honda. -Our bearings are developed, industrialized and sold in diverse locations across the globe. So, this position has given me the opportunity to interact with stake holders from different countries.

The main goal for my internship within the research and development department, was to help implement a project management methodology, called the critical chain. This methodology is based on the concepts of the theory of constraints, both proposed by Eliyahu M. Goldratt. We ran a pilot project at the Automotive bearings department. It was a joint project between the RnD office in France and in Japan. We also did a simulation in a multi-project environment.

Oversaw the working capital indicators of 4 countries in Middle America (MIC), supervised the performance of a multicultural team of 13 people, both Finance specialists and Analysts. Responsible for finding and implementing improvement opportunities that make the finance processes more efficient and ensure sustainability. Engage regularly with local stake holders from Manila, for both the Finance and commercial side.

Handled the finance requests and working capital KPI’s for portfolios of customers in different countries and different Maersk line brands: Maersk line, Sealand, Seago line and Safmarine. For Mexico, the United Kingdom, France, and Trinidad and Tobago. Supported process improvement initiatives on the collection processes done for Brazil. Achievements:  Lead the successful and timely migration of Collections tasks from Colombia to Manila.

Handled the financial requests from Maersk spot clients, also handling the cargo releases and a call center, within a team. While at the same time leading a process improvement initiative. Achievements: -Lead an improvement project that reduced the amount of staff dedicated to transactional tasks, from 7 full time employees, to 3. By using lean manufacturing as a process improvement tool.

Supported all the activities that the office performs, for example find housing for international students or do informational fairs and events. Help students at Icesi, both local and International, with their concerns about doing an international program.

Developed an after school program for teaching 30 high school students basic concepts of programming, also aiming to encourage them to pursue a degree in engineering. The curriculum was based on a tool called Alice, done by the Carnegie Mellon University.
