I am working on the physicochemical characterisation of polymers using a wide range of surface analytical techniques. We modify these to direct the differentiation of stem cells into specialised cells to facilitate the in vitro expansion and directed differentiation of stem cells and the culture of differentiated cells for studying physiological processes and the impact of drugs on cells. My project also involves the collaboration with Biomer Technology Ltd and the University of South Australia.
