Solo practice focusing on contracts, intellectual property, transportation and other municipal financing, elections, municipal law, public disclosure, and general business representation and counseling to public and private companies. Projects ranged from a port development project in the Port of San Antonio Chile, a $26 million procurement dispute with King County Metro, contract negotiation with Chicago Transit Authority, and iintellectual property issues for a small game design company.

Advised and represented a wide variety of governmental and private clients, including Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Kravis Kohlberg Roberts & Co., the Regional Transportation Investment District, King County, City of Seattle, Seattle Monorail Project, First & Goal Inc., and others on a broad range of public law issues. Practice included general counsel, legislative drafting, financial counsel, litigation (both trial and appellate) and mediation.

Served as legal counsel to governmental departments and elected officials (including the county council, county executive, assessor, sheriff and judges) and was appointed elections attorney for King County, the largest electoral jurisdiction in the State of Washington.
