Primary responsibilities include equipment reliability for the site and the mechanical integrity program. The reliability program is built on four methodologies: RCA (Root Cause Analysis), RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance, RBI (Risk Based Inspection), and RIS (Reliability Instrumented Systems). The MI program includes management of Tanks & Pressure Vessels, Piping, Pressure Relief Devices, and Hoses, and oversight of Oil Analysis, Vibration Analysis, Infrared, and equipment calibrations.

This strategic role has primary responsibilities on analysis of operational risk and identification of significant sources of cost or production downtime. Understanding the underlying cause of problems highlight efficiency improvement opportunities. As PAL, I scope capital projects and track implementation of team recommendations. Implementing the OE AR work process requires organizing assets into systems, then assessing likely failure modes for severity and probability.

Identified opportunities for improvement in Latex and Tank Farm areas. Developed scope for capital projects, justified funding, and tracked projects through completion. Installed double block and bleed valves to make isolation of pressure safety valves possible without affecting production. Replaced barge tie-down to reduce risk of becoming unmoored once unloaded. I also supported the area by managing lab supplies and equipment calibrations and operational support, as needed.

Managed 2 waste reclaim workers and 13 Satellite Accumulation, 90-Day Storage, and Universal Waste Areas. Led HAZOP analyses. Managed New Product Introduction process. I supported the business-level initiative of introducing a common quality management system. Led company effort to assure that the products made at multiple sites were consolidated to the same endpoint conditions. AOC's five US sites often differed slightly to satisfy customer needs. I worked with peers and corporate R&D to align on official product specs and minimize the degree of product quality impact to final customers. I also coordinated the rollout of the FAST database to my plant.

Developed computerized testing models for all polyester reactor products that calculated in-process acid value corrections and predicted endpoint time. The modularity of these models allowed AOC to export its use to international sites. I implemented use of SPC to improve quality in reactor and formulation finished properties. New reactor products were frequently scaled up at our plant. I worked closely with R&D personnel to provide coordination and batch support of these new products.
