Setup pilot fab for ceramic gas turbine components for rig/field testing. R&D topics: materials & coatings for gas turbines, solid oxide fuel and electrolysis cells, mechanical/thermal design, extended digital twins, machine learning for quality control and process optimization.

Technical leadership for high-performance material engineering as well as thermal/structural design, simulation and reliability prediction. Lead multiple R&D and governmental funded projects with customers from various industries: energy, healthcare, automotive, lighting, semiconductor. Outstanding technical contributions awarded as Siemens inventor of the year 2013. Setup new branch of Siemens Corporate Technology at gas turbine manufacturing site in Charlotte (NC/US) to accelerate product development.

Setup simulation tools, workflows and test lab to assess functionality and structural integrity of high-performance materials and coatings. Lead R&D projects with focus on materials for gas turbines, fuel cells, power switches, X-ray anodes, and piezo actuators.
