I'm responsible for the EMEA IBM Watson IoT Center of Competence (CoC). The scope of the IoT CoC is: - to work with key clients to create and evaluate new IoT solutions from use case to IoT architecture. - improve the IBM Watson IoT Platform . - provide true guidance on IoT industry solutions and the impact on the business.

Leader of a mobile practice of highly skilled IT architects and specialists for mobile software solutions. The team is delivering consulting and development services for mobile enterprise solutions based on IBM Software worldwide. In addition to leveraging my people management and leadership capabilities, this role allows me to extend my experience in business and engagement management for mobile solutions, consulting of executive and strategy stakeholder on mobile strategy and mobile solution architecture.

Leader of a team of 11 highly skilled mobile IT architects and specialists for mobile software solutions. The team is delivering consulting and development services for mobile enterprise solutions based on IBM Software worldwide. In addition to leveraging my people management and leadership capabilities, this role allows me to extend my experience in business and engagement management for mobile solutions, consulting of executive and strategy stakeholder on mobile strategy and mobile solution architecture.

Leader of a distributed software services team of 8 enterprise IT architects and 4 IT specialists. Together with the IT architects I established the IBM business process management (BPM) suite at our customers leading to the delivery of business optimization projects. The IT specialists focused on the integration of SAP backend systems into the IBM BPM stack. My personal involvement ranged from business development, people management and technical consulting on business optimization/integration scenarios.

As executive assistant I broadened my expertise on strategy and communication level. My responsibilities were: Representation of IBM R&D towards customers, universities and press. Coordination of tasks/communication between IBM Germany sub divisions and IBM R&D labs world wide. Support of strategy development for future product development. Coordination of high level VP visits. Project management and coordination of development projects/events. Presentation of the key technology trends.

Leader of 25 developers designing and developing I/O firmware and software for IBM System p and z servers. Focus areas are highly reliable high-speed in memory IP networks and SCSI over fiber channel development as well as Linux device driver development for High Performance Computing (InfiniBand and Gigabit Ethernet). Technical and project management lead of a joint development project for the research center Jülich (Germany).

As firmware/software developer I'm responsible for the design and implementation of several device drivers and software parts of the System z service and control network. Project manager of 2 large development projects based on the System z service and control network. Team leader of a device driver development team of 5 developers.

Responsible for the design and development of a very large system control networks to monitor and control up to 15.000 fan units for clean rooms of wafer fabs. Services and support of the control network world wide (Taiwan, Singapore, Europe, USA, ...).

Self employed / business manager of a small engineer company developing special purpose electronic boards and devices including firmware development. Design and development of control networks (see M+W Zander later).
