Tom Becker

During my internship at XXL Nutrition I wrote my problem oriented bachelor thesis about how the company could increase its position in the German sports nutrition market through digital marketing activities. For the content of my thesis I was honored with a nomination for the annual FIBS Graduation prize 2019. Next to that, I had the responsibility to create a German SEA-campaign and manage the website entries for the German online store.

During my internship at UHU Gmbh & Co.KG / Bolten Adhesives i worked in the Corporate Marketing department of the company. There I worked together with different international agencies and product managers to create marketing materials, artworks, packagings and videos for products like the UHU stic, Patafix & Booster. Furthermore, I was in charge of communicating internationally applicable changes from the HQ to the different European locations and was involved in the launch of new products.

During the second year of my studies at Fontys University the students of my course created a mini company. In this company I took on the role in the general management. The company my fellow students and I created was called Mugic. Mugic sold high quality, color changing cups.

During the fall semester of 2017 I decided to do an semester abroad in Seoul, South Korea. There I took courses wich focused on management information systems, new venture creations, service operations management and retail management, as well as a Korean language course.

From 2015 to 2019 I studied International Business and Management at the Fontys International Campus in Venlo. There my focus was on: Management & Leadership, Marketing & Communication, Finance, Business Operations & Cultural/Language studies.
