In Cognitive Radio networks accurate spectrum sensing is required in order to identify the primary user presence and to improve efficient spectrum utilization; The real time signal is transformed into wavelet coefficients by wavelet transform which is implemented by constructing a recursive filter bank consisting of Quadrature Mirror Filters;Then after having the distribution of wavelet coefficients, primary user's signal is detected by establishing hypothesis based on energy threshold
