Christiane Düring-Giesen

I joined IOD PARC in 2016, combining a passion for foreign countries and cultures with my academic background in public health and development. My thematic areas of interest include sustainable development, particularly in relation to water and sanitation, climate change, communicable diseases and food security as well as OD. I possess a range of research experience using predominantly qualitative approaches, which I have used in desk- and field-based research.

Masters degree including a field trip to Sub-Saharan Africa as well as a Dissertation. Modules: Living with Climate Change and Professional Skills, Epidemiology, Key Issues in Global Public Health, Using Policy to Strengthen Health Systems and Research Methodology.

I spent one term at the University of Turku, University Consortium in Pori, Finland. This exchange was supported by the Erasmus programme.
