Dr. Ehab El-Awaad

Through my research stay in the Rössig lab of cellular immunotherapy, I have successfully acquired hands-on experience in production, expansion, and immunophenotyping of CAR-T cells as well as valuable knowledge of strategies to overcome their barriers within tumor microenvironment. I have planned and executed in vitro experiments to characterize advanced CAR-T cell constructs designed to target solid tumors and contributed to developing functional assays to evaluate their effects using live-cell imaging.

During my work as a research associate, I planned, executed, and interpreted results of experiments for my PhD project and side project from which PhD thesis and 2 papers were published. Moderated small group problem-based learning interactive sessions for medical students. Supervised undergraduates and MSc students in the lab. Actively participated in organization team of departmental scientific events.

During my work as a Ph.D student, I had the following responsibilities:  Planning, designing and performing experiments of my PhD project and side projects  Coordinating a network of collaborations, both in academia and industry  Small group teaching (Problem-based learning) of medical students  Scientific supervision of Master’s, graduate and undergraduate students  Organization of departmental scientific events

Teaching courses in Pharmacology, Toxicology and Biostatistics to undergraduate Medical and Pharmacy students

Pharmacology
