Building-up and implementation of an on-site “state of art” whole smoke lab •Main responsibilities are generation and characterization of different aerosols and then expose cell or tissues inside the Vitrocell models •EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) risk assessment team leader for the Whole Smoke Lab •Conducting particles size measurements on different aerosols with SMPS (Scanning Mobility Particle Size Spectrometer)

Work as a Research student •Setup of an air flow system, for an in-house designed in vitro air-liquid interface cell exposure system delivering whole cigarette smoke to pulmonary cells cultured at the air-liquid interface. •Experimental determination of the Cigarette Smoke dose delivered to cells exposed to CS in the system using gravimetric, alcohol extraction, optical absorbance and fluorescence imaging techniques
