A lot of organizations see the need to improve their commercial strength but remain stuck in the status quo because, on the one hand, they are afraid of interrupting their revenue stream, on the other, they have notions of new concepts but do not know how to implement them. They have bad experiences in implementing digital tools which makes them reluctant to do so. These companies have the potential to achieve commercial excellence but don't see it themselves how to do so. Should they give up? No! By appealing to knowledge, experience of people who have carried out commercial excellence projects they will succeed. The key to success in these commercial excellence projects lies in: 1. Making small incremental improvements across their various interactions in the customer buying journey 2. Applying a framework such as Plan,Do,Check & Learn to give structure to the initiatives as to a commercial cadence 3. Observation, Modeling and bringing process clarity before deploying digital tools.
